Patient Care Technician

Patient care technicians are allied health professionals who provide care within their regulated scope of practice. They perform basic nursing assistant tasks (as delegated by the nursing or medical staff) which may include obtaining patient vital signs and other data, communicating with the healthcare team and patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), complying with confidentiality requirements, and performing ECGs and phlebotomy tasks

Must  have CNA


 At least one year experience performing phlebotomy, ECG and patient care duties or successful completion of a structured training program.

  1. Anatomy and Physiology
  2. Medical Terminology
  3. Legal Issues
  4. Infection Control
  5. Patient Care Skills 
  6. CNA Description 


How NBHP Exam Registration Works:

STEP 1. Pay for your  exam

STEP 2. Fill out the registration form

STEP 3: Send the following supporting documents to cert@nationalbhp.com

1. Government Issued ID

2.School Certificate 

3. Documentation of work experience in certification field. 


You will hear from us in 2-3 business days for approval of test and confirmation. If you are not approved, your money will be refunded.



Candidates will receive their National Certifications in the mail within 2 weeks upon successful completion of national exam.
